Robert Sedlak, baritone

Robert Sedlak has specialized in oratorio, sacred and contemporary music. He began his career as a member of the Viennese Arnold Schönberg Chorus where he participated in tours to New York and to Salzburg and performed smaller solo parts.
Since these early years Robert Sedlak has acquired a broad repertoire and has been singing solo parts in big concert halls like the Musikhalle in Hamburg, the Kölner Philharmonie, the Beethovenhalle in Bonn, Vienna’s Konzerthaus and the Aachen’s famous cathedral as well as in tours to Japan or Greece.
He has performed the leading parts in Johann Sebastian Bach’s Christmas and Easter Oratorio as well as in Joseph Haydn’s Creation, in the great Requiems of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Gabriel Fauré or in Felix Mendelssohn’s Paulus.
In concerts in Italy, Switzerland and Austria Robert Sedlak showed his qualities as a soloist in contemporary music together with the Vienna based „Klangforum“. He also participated in projects of Ensemble’s like the Deutsche Kammerchor, the Rheinische Kantorei, the Kölner Kantorei, the Chorus Musicus Köln and the Kammerchor Vox Bona and has been a founding member oft he solistic ensemble LiberArte Bonn which specialized in spanish and latin american baroque and renaissance music.
During several years Robert Sedlak has also been performing as a tenor soloist.The warm high notes together with his solid depth contribute to his success in his current work as baritone.
